A cousin of mine gave me this recipe and honestly it is the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 6 Tbsp butter, unsalted
  • 1 c self rising flour
  • 1 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c whole milk
  • 1/4 c cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c boiling water

DIRECTIONS :

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in an 8×8 baking dish while the oven preheats.
  3. Stir together the flour, 3/4 C. sugar, 1 1/2 T. cocoa.
  4. Stir in milk and vanilla till smooth.
  5. Spoon this mixture over the melted butter.
  6. Stir together the remaining cup of sugar and 1/4 C. cocoa powder.
  7. Sprinkle over the batter mixture.
  8. Slowly pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes
