Nougat Recipe :

INGREDIENTS :

  •  2 cups sugar
  •  1 cup of water
  •  1 tablespoon lemon juice
  •  1 tablespoon ground cardamom
  •  1 cup crushed hazelnuts
  •  4 cups milk powder
  •  1 tablespoon of oil
  •  ½ cup of starch

DIRECTIONS :

  1. In a saucepan, mix sugar, water and lemon juice. Stir the mixture for 15 minutes, until you get a medium density syrup.
  2. Remove the pot from the heat, add the soft cardamom, and leave it aside to cool.
  3. Add the crushed nuts to the syrup and mix well, then add half the amount of powdered milk and mix well.
  4. Add the remaining amount of milk to the drizzle, stirring constantly, until you get a soft dough.
  5. In a rectangular tray lined with parchment paper and sprinkled with a little starch, pour the mixture and press it by hand until it is completely flat.
  6. After the nougat has a little firm, cut it with a knife into equal pieces, leave it to cool, then serve.
