A cousin of mine gave me this recipe and honestly it is the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.
INGREDIENTS :
- 6 Tbsp butter, unsalted
- 1 c self rising flour
- 1 3/4 c sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 c whole milk
- 1/4 c cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c boiling water
DIRECTIONS :
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in an 8×8 baking dish while the oven preheats.
- Stir together the flour, 3/4 C. sugar, 1 1/2 T. cocoa.
- Stir in milk and vanilla till smooth.
- Spoon this mixture over the melted butter.
- Stir together the remaining cup of sugar and 1/4 C. cocoa powder.
- Sprinkle over the batter mixture.
- Slowly pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes
