Nougat Recipe :
INGREDIENTS :
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ground cardamom
- 1 cup crushed hazelnuts
- 4 cups milk powder
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- ½ cup of starch
DIRECTIONS :
- In a saucepan, mix sugar, water and lemon juice. Stir the mixture for 15 minutes, until you get a medium density syrup.
- Remove the pot from the heat, add the soft cardamom, and leave it aside to cool.
- Add the crushed nuts to the syrup and mix well, then add half the amount of powdered milk and mix well.
- Add the remaining amount of milk to the drizzle, stirring constantly, until you get a soft dough.
- In a rectangular tray lined with parchment paper and sprinkled with a little starch, pour the mixture and press it by hand until it is completely flat.
- After the nougat has a little firm, cut it with a knife into equal pieces, leave it to cool, then serve.
