Total crowd-pleasers, these Salmon Patties are best served when you have guests over! Serve them as is or with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS :
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c parsley, finely minced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1-pound fresh salmon filet*
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic salt, I used Lawry’s Brand, to taste
- 1 c Panko bread crumbs
- 1 medium yellow onion, 1 c, finely diced
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, or to taste
DIRECTIONS :
- Prepare the oven and preheat to 218 degrees C or 425 degrees F.
- Line with parchment paper onto a rimmed baking sheet.
- Lay the salmon in the middle of the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon. Sprinkle garlic salt and black pepper on top to season.
- Place the salmon inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
- Use two forks to flake the salmon, then remove the skin and any bones.
- Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter and olive oil, then allow them to become hot.
- Add bell pepper and onion, then sauté for about 7 minutes or until soft. Turn off the heat.
- Add the sauteed veggies, 2 beaten eggs, flaked salmon, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 3 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 1 tsp garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- Place a non-stick pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil, then allow them to become hot.
- Add the salmon patties, then cook each side for about 3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Transfer the salmon patties onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve and enjoy!
