I can’t count how many times I’ve cooked this Crockpot Bow tie Casserole! I learned about this recipe a couple of years ago, and I’m still in love with it to this day! It is such a simple recipe yet full of incredible flavors! If you have time to spare before any meal, then this recipe is for you! It may take 7 hours to cook, but I promise you that it is worth the wait! This recipe can yield up to 3 people. Make sure to double the ingredients if you are serving more than that. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS :
- 16 ounces bow tie pasta, cooked
- ½ c Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1½ c mozzarella, shredded
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1½ lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 can (15 ounces) stewed tomatoes
- 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
DIRCTIONS :
- Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
- Add ground beef, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown.
- Add the garlic and onion, then sauté for a few minutes until aromatic and soft.
- Transfer the contents of the skillet into a crockpot.
- Add the seasonings, sauce, and tomatoes into the crockpot as well. Stir everything until well incorporated.
- Cover and seal the crockpot, then cook everything for about 6 to 7 hours on a low setting.
- Open the crockpot, then add 1/2 Parmesan cheese, spinach, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and pasta. Stir until well combined.
- Cover and seal the crockpot again and cook everything for 30 more minutes over high heat.
- Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Serve right away. Enjoy!
