I can’t count how many times I’ve cooked this Crockpot Bow tie Casserole! I learned about this recipe a couple of years ago, and I’m still in love with it to this day! It is such a simple recipe yet full of incredible flavors! If you have time to spare before any meal, then this recipe is for you! It may take 7 hours to cook, but I promise you that it is worth the wait! This recipe can yield up to 3 people. Make sure to double the ingredients if you are serving more than that. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS :

  • 16 ounces bow tie pasta, cooked
  • ½ c Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1½ c mozzarella, shredded
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1½ lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 can (15 ounces) stewed tomatoes
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

DIRCTIONS :

  1. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
  2. Add ground beef, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown.
  3. Add the garlic and onion, then sauté for a few minutes until aromatic and soft.
  4. Transfer the contents of the skillet into a crockpot.
  5. Add the seasonings, sauce, and tomatoes into the crockpot as well. Stir everything until well incorporated.
  6. Cover and seal the crockpot, then cook everything for about 6 to 7 hours on a low setting.
  7. Open the crockpot, then add 1/2 Parmesan cheese, spinach, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and pasta. Stir until well combined.
  8. Cover and seal the crockpot again and cook everything for 30 more minutes over high heat.
  9. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  10. Serve right away. Enjoy!
