My whole family loves this French Dip. It is the best French Dip I’ve made in my life! The best part is you do not need any fancy or hard to pronounce ingredients to pull this off. Just simple ingredients that you already have on hand.
I love crockpot recipes. They are a time-saver and never fail to guarantee the best meals for my family. For this recipe, I normally use two crockpots to make enough for everybody especially if we are expecting guests. I do not worry about leftovers (if any) because they are amazing, too!
We enjoy this French Dip all year round. This never fails to impress everyone. Super perfect not only for a very savoury family meal but for entertaining, too. If you are meal planning, this french dip is perfect as this freezes well. Simply combine the ingredients and freeze. When ready to serve, simply cook as directed.
INGREDIENTS :
- ½ onion sliced
- 3-4 beef roast
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 packaged onion soup mix
- 4 c. beef broth
- 12 slices provolone cheese
- 6 hoagie rolls
DIRECTIONS :
Step 1: In the crockpot, place the beef roast, onion, garlic, onion soup mix, and beef broth. Cover the pot and set to cook for 8 to 10 hours on low.
Step 2: When the beef is cooked, shred it using two forks and serve on toasted hoagie rolls and top with provolone cheese. If desired, melt the cheese under a broiler. Enjoy!
NOTES:
Whisk 1/4 c. cornstarch with 1/4 c. water until well combined, then stir this into the broth. Set to high and stir until the sauce has thickened.
If you want to freeze this French Dip, simply put everything together 9except for the hoagie rolls) and freeze without cooking.
