  • ⅔ cup of cornmeal.
  • ⅓ cup of self rising flour.
  • ⅓ cup of lowfat buttermilk.
  • 1 large egg.
  • Oil for frying.

How to:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, butter milk and egg until well combined.
  2. In a skillet heat the oil and drop by spoonfuls into oil. Cook and brown from both sides as if you are cooking a pancake and place on plate with paper towels and blot excess oil.
  3. Enjoy!
