You’ll go crazy over these thick, moist, and fudgy bite-sized brownies with rich, fudge-like frosting. This is the best dessert you’ll ever make!

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 sticks (24 tbsp) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • ¾ c. cocoa powder
  • 1 c. milk (suggest using 2% or whole)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour

Frosting:

  • 6 tbsp milk (use at least 2% milkfat)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1½ c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. chocolate chips (milk chocolate or semi-sweet)
  • ½ tsp salt

DIRECTIONS :

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Using a nonstick spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

Step 3: Cream the butter with sugar until fluffy and smooth. Add the eggs followed by the vanilla. Stir again, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.

Step 4: In a bowl, combine the cocoa powder with flour and salt.

Step 5: Add the dry ingredients and milk alternately in three addition while mixing at low speed ending in dry ingredients until well blended.

Step 6: Into the prepared pan, pour the batter, evenly spreading it. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven when done and let the brownie cool for about 30 minutes before frosting. Keep in mind not to fully cool it as we want the brownie a little warm when frosted.

Step 7: For the frosting, add the butter, milk, and granulated sugar to a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat for about a minute. Take the pan off the heat, then stir in the salt and chocolate chips. Smartly whisk the frosting until smooth, then quickly pour it onto the warm brownies. Spread it immediately before it begins to set. Allow the frosted brownies to set for at least an hour before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can also use an 11 x 17-inch pan to make this brownie and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes.
