Chinese dishes are a staple at home. We love everything Chinese. Not only that they are very easy and quick to throw together, but they guarantee the best meals! This Beef Lo Mein is no exemption. It is made with only a few readily available ingredients and ready on your dinner table in under thirty minutes. It is a nice addition to your go-to easy, and quick weeknight meal. Bursting with flavour and loaded with flank steak, crunchy green beans, grated carrot in a fantastic sauce! No wonder why this thirty-minute recipe climbed the ladder fast to our favourite recipe list!
INGREDIENTS :
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 12 ounces flank steak cut against the grain then sliced into bite-size strips
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 1/2 c. green beans trimmed and cut
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 tsp ginger peeled & grated
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 black pepper
- 1/4 red pepper flakes
- 12 ounces rice noddles
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 c. low-sodium soy sauce
DIRECTIONS :
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the rice noodles.
Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet. Once the oil is hot, add 12 ounces of flank steak strips to the skillet and cook until done. Then, add 3 minced garlic cloves along with 1 grated carrot, and 2 1/2 c. green beans. Stir and continue to cook for 3 minutes more.
Step 3: Place half cup low sodium soy sauce with half c. brown sugar, 1 tsp grated ginger, 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 1 tbsp sesame oil in a mixing bowl. Mix well until blended.
Step 4: To the skillet, add the cooked rice noodles and pour the sauce over. Toss and heat for a few seconds.
Step 5: Serve the Beef Lo Mein right away with drizzles of sesame oil. Enjoy!
