Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 c water
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 green bell pepper, minced
- 1/2 large yellow onion, minced
- 2/3 c ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or less, if you prefer)
- 3/4 teaspoon chilli powder
- dash of hot sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Directions:
- Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
- Add butter and allow it to melt, then add the oil and allow it to become hot.
- Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown.
- Remove the browned ground beef from the skillet into a colander to drain any accumulated fat.
- In the same skillet, add the bell pepper and onion. Sauté until soft.
- Add in the garlic and sauté until aromatic.
- Put the browned beef back into the skillet and stir until well combined.
- Add the tomato paste and stir until well blended. Cook for about a minute to remove the raw taste.
- Add water, mustard, chilli powder, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Cook for about 15 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
- Remove from the skillet and serve immediately with toasted buns.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the freezer. They can last up to 4 months.
