INGREDIENTS :
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 chicken thighs (or parts of your choice)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 c chicken broth
- 1/2 c of flour
- 1 bell pepper (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 c milk
- 1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley
DIRECTIONS :
- Sprinkle the spices over the chicken pieces, then rub each until well coated.
- Sprinkle flour over the chicken, then toss until well coated.
- Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Add oil and allow it to become hot.
- Add the chicken pieces, then cook each side for about 4 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Transfer the fried chicken onto a clean plate.
- In the empty pan, add the veggies and saute until soft. Melt in butter.
- Add the rest of the flour, then whisk and cook for about a minute to remove the raw taste.
- Add the milk and broth, then stir until well blended. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the pan to get the browned bits.
- Put the chicken pieces back into the pan, then toss until well coated by the delicious sauce.
- Cover the pan and cook the chicken for about 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle your preferred herbs on top to garnish.
- Serve right away with mashed potatoes or rice. Enjoy!
