Ingredients:

  • 18 ounces marinara sauce
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 18 ounces water
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni, dry
  • ⅓ c mozzarella cheese
  • ⅓ c half and half

Directions:

  1. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
  2. Add the sausage, then cook until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess grease.
  3. Add the elbow macaroni, bell peppers, water, and marinara sauce. Stir until well mixed and allow the mixture to boil.
  4. Turn the heat down to low, then cover and simmer everything for about 20 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
  5. Add the half and half, then stir until well blended.
  6. Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese and stir again until well combined.
  7. Remove the skillet from the stove, then cover and let it rest for at least 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted completely.
  8. Garnish each serving with your preferred herbs.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
