INGREDIENTS :
Biscuits:
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 stick unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 c buttermilk
- 1 tbsp chives, minced
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
Sausage, Egg, Cheese Filling:
- 6 eggs, scrambled
- 8 breakfast sausage patties, fully cooked
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided
DIRECTIONS :
- Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt into a food processor, then pulse a few times until well blended.
- Add cheddar cheese, chives, and butter. Pulse again until well blended as well.
- Add the buttermilk and pulse until well blended.
- Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then transfer the dough on it. Knead and roll it into 1/2-inch thick.
- Slice the dough into circles.
- Top each dough with cheese, 1 sausage patty, and 2 tbsp of scrambled eggs.
- Top the dough with another dough, seal the edges with your fingers.
- Line with parchment paper onto a baking sheet.
- Arrange biscuit rolls onto the prepared baking sheet. You will make about 8 rolls. Make sure to leave a small space between each biscuit roll.
- Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the biscuits for about 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow the biscuits to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
