Ingredients:
- 1 pizza dough ball
- 3/4 lb pastrami, sliced
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 12 oz sauerkraut
- egg for egg wash
- 2 tbsp caraway seeds
Russian dressing:
- 1 c mayo
- 1/4 c ketchup
- 2 tbsp minced pickles
- 1 tbsp minced onion
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Roll out rectangularly the pizza dough.
Step 3: Spread a layer of pastrami over the dough followed by a layer of cheese, then another layer of pastrami again.
Step 4: Squeeze the sauerkraut to remove the excess liquid.
Step 5: Place the sauerkraut over the pastrami.
Step 6: Brush egg wash on the side, then roll it up.
Step 7: Brush the entire Stromboli with the egg wash. Top with caraway seeds.
Step 8: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 9: Place the Stromboli onto the prepared baking sheet.
Step 10: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
Step 11: In a medium mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the dressing.
Step 12: Remove the Stromboli from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for about 15 minutes.
Step 13: Slice into bite-sized pieces.
Step 14: Serve with the dressing on the side. Enjoy!
