GLAZED HAWAIIAN KIELBASA

Spread the love

A slow cooker is one of the greatest inventions! It makes our life so much easier, and we can cook hundreds of different dishes using it. Today, I want to share my top pick slow cooker recipe. This has been my go-to during my busiest and laziest days. All you need are four ingredients to make this. The sliced pineapple rings are cut into eight pieces, and the Kielbasa is sliced into half-inch pieces. The two other ingredients I am pretty sure that you already have in your pantry; light brown sugar and maple syrup. All you have to do is dump all the ingredients in your slow cooker and set to cook. That’s it! The only hard part is the waiting time!

If you love easy, budget-friendly meals that you can throw together with no effort, then you are in the right place. I have seen a lot of recipes you can whip up in a jiffy like this Glazed Hawaiian Kielbasa. Just make sure you have enough glaze to spoon over rice or your side dish. The best part is this is also perfect to serve as an appetizer!

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 can sliced pineapples rings, cut into 8 pieces
  • 3 c. light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 2.62 pounds Hillshire Farm® Polska Kielbasa, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces

DIRECTIONS :

Step 1: Into a slow cooker, add the sliced kielbasa, brown sugar, pineapple pieces, and maple syrup. Gently stir to coat, then set to cook for 5 to 6 hours on low or until the kielbasa is completely cooked. You can also set the slow cooker on high for 2-2 1/2 hours.

Note:

You can also serve this dish as an appetizer. Simply skew onto toothpicks, but keep in mind that you will need another can of pineapple to pair it with the kielbasa.
