INGREDIENTS :
- 1 pound defrosted large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 8 ounces linguine or other pasta
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 2 tablespoons white wine (optional)
- 1 package McCormic® Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Seasoning Mix
- 1/4 c butter (half stick)
DIRECTIONS :
- Put a large pot with slightly salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
- Add the pasta and cook until al dente or firm to bite. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- Put a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Add butter and allow it to melt.
- Add oil and allow it to become hot.
- Add the shrimp and seasoning mix. Stir and cook for about 3 minutes or until the shrimp turns pink.
- Add wine or lemon juice, then stir until well blended. Scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the delicious browned bits.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated by the delicious sauce.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of Parmesan cheese on top to garnish.
- Serve right away and enjoy!
