I am so excited to share this recipe with you! These pork chops covered in garlic-brown sugar is ridiculously delicious! Serve them with some veggies on the side, and you have yourself a meal of a lifetime. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS :
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 Bone-in thick pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS :
- Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the pork chops, then toss until well coated.
- Place an oven-proof skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
- Add vegetable oil and allow it to become hot.
- Add the pork chops, then sear each side for about 3 minutes or until they turn brown. Transfer the pork chops onto a clean plate. Cover them with something to keep warm.
- Add butter to the same skillet and allow it to melt.
- Add red pepper, brown sugar, and garlic. Sauté for 3 minutes or until soft and aromatic.
- Put the pork chops back into the skillet, then toss until well coated with the delicious sauce.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the pork chops for about 10 minutes or until done. They should be fork-tender.
- Remove the pork chops from the oven and allow them to sit for a few minutes at room temperature.
- Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top to garnish.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
- Feel free to use a baking dish when baking the pork chops.
- Make sure to sear the pork chops. This step is not optional. Searing would bring out their best flavors!
