Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 – 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts ( optional )
- 1 – 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 – 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 cups blackberries
- 6 Tablespoons corn starch
Directions:
- Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
- Place the butter in a microwavable bowl, then place it inside the microwave. Heat until the butter is melted completely.
- In a mixing bowl, add nuts and flour. Whisk until well combined.
- Transfer the flour mixture into a 9×13-inch pan and press it on the bottom.
- Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until done. Remove and allow it to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, add powdered sugar, milk, and cream cheese. Stir until well blended.
- Spread the mixture on top of the cooled crust.
- Place it inside the fridge to chill.
- In a saucepan, add the blackberries, water, and sugar. Place it on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Stir until well mixed, then allow the mixture to boil. Cook for about 3 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
- Remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
- Spread the blackberry mixture over the cream cheese.
- Spread the whipped topping over the blackberry mixture.
- Place it inside the fridge to chill for several hours.
