INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 chicken thighs (or parts of your choice)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c of flour
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley

DIRECTIONS :

  1. Sprinkle the spices over the chicken pieces, then rub each until well coated.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the chicken, then toss until well coated.
  3. Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
  4. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
  5. Add the chicken pieces, then cook each side for about 4 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken onto a clean plate.
  7. In the empty pan, add the veggies and saute until soft. Melt in butter.
  8. Add the rest of the flour, then whisk and cook for about a minute to remove the raw taste.
  9. Add the milk and broth, then stir until well blended. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the pan to get the browned bits.
  10. Put the chicken pieces back into the pan, then toss until well coated by the delicious sauce.
  11. Cover the pan and cook the chicken for about 20 minutes.
  12. Sprinkle your preferred herbs on top to garnish.
  13. Serve right away with mashed potatoes or rice. Enjoy!
